This is a great place to eat, if is not a cookie cutter eatery.

Great place! Good food, big portions and very helpful staff who know lots of history of the area.. don't pay any attention to the bad reviews some people left...some people just have sticks in they're butts. How big of a burger do you expect for a little over a buck? Get real lady....just look at the pictures, they don't lie.

I had 29 tacos the food must be amazing. Service is amazing. We try to go at least once a week!!!

Very affordable food with large variety! Burgers are very small @ $1.05. Tacos are pretty good with lettuce, beef, cheese, and a sparse diced tomato. Deep fried zucchini was hand battered and were ok. The batter had a different taste. Free refills on drinks!! Waitress was very hospitable and took our order at the walk up counter.

Went for tacos and pleasantly surprised to know they had an all you can eat buffet. Was able to try many items in addition to tacos. Short ribs, bbq, meat nachos, and different types of tacos. Yummy!

The Best quick (cheap) eats around. My 1st stop immediately after arriving at the airport. "I go to Bert's before I go to my own mama's house" 3Tacos with sour cream and chocolate malt for $5-$6 bucks....come on. I have been twice in the same day, just sayin. Same owner for decades with a personal touch helps ALOT! It's an Institution.

This is a little "mom and pop", "hole in the wall" restaurant, but the people and food are wonderful! They have taco shells that are "melt in your mouth" amazing! Will be going there again and again!

Fantastic place!!! Roger and his crew are amazing. Very welcoming and locally owned. They're a big part of our community. They let churches and schools hold fundraisers there. Did I mention the food is amazing. Fish tacos and southwest chicken enchilada is a must.

Bert's is a beloved institution in Collinsville. The cuisine is mostly American andTex-Mex. The Monday buffet is awesome--so many choices!! And most days you can catch Bert there working alongside his crew. And if you want to know some history about Collinsville just ask Bert and he'll take some time to talk to you.

Bert's Chuck Wagon is an icon in the little city of Collinsville. It was located once where the now IL State Route 159 is laid. Once the township learned of the fate of their beloved Bert's it was relocated to the downtown strip on East Main. I try to stop there anytime I should pass through my old stomping grounds. My better-half Carol suggested it as we were there. I of course said, "Heck yeah! " Well if you want the "All You Can Eat Buffet", you'd better be there by Monday night. The staff are friendly and helpful when taking your order. Carol chose her back-up "Taco Salad" & I the "Burrito Dinner", dinner's include the side of Re-fried Beans & Spanish Rice. All selection's are 'Americanized' version's of what you might order. With that in mind you'll enjoy a wonderful meal at a decent price. Enjoy!!!

The food is amazing. Beef brisket nachos and a double cheese burger with a strawberry shake.

Nine of us went to Bert,s to try it out for supper. They had burgers, sandwiches and Mexican fare. There,s a pastry/ coffee shop in their 1st room with comfy seating and games to play if you wish. The second room has space for small or large groups. The owner and waitresses are friendly & helpful. We would go again.

The employees here are very friendly and the place is clean. The food was good but not as good as it should be for the price. I had the chicken taco salad and wasn't very amazed with it. The place definitely has potential to have much better food that I would happily pay the prices for. The cooks need to step it up! However, since the customer service was great, the place is clean, and the food was average I feel like it's worth giving 4 stars.

Family friendly good food great people. We walk during the summer and always stop at Bert's even if we just need drink. The kids love this place

Nice older well kept place. This place is in the same building as a coffee shop that you have to walk through if you follow the map directions and enter from the main street. I had the Super deluxe Mexican plate. Food was good, but more along the lines of American-Mexican not authentic. Portions were good for the price paid.

We love Bert's and go probably every other week. Our dinner was good again tonight when we both had the Double Cheeseburger Meal. We even got soup to go which we have had before and it is issue really good! My only issue this time was my order of bread pudding. It was the smallest order of bread pudding I have ever seen. It was basically the size of a cookie. I hope next time if I order it again it will be an actual full serving. Thanks

Love Bert's, been coming here for years. Miss the old building but the new location has more room and the same great food.

The "Mexican" food is definitely an acquired taste. Like Jack in the Box tacos, you either love it or are disgusted by it. (I happen to love both). I always get tacos and plain nachos. Tastes very much like what you'd make at home with ground beef, lettuce, tomato and lots of cheese. Fries are great too. It's a Collinsville treasure and the staff make it.

Amazing. It's been around for a long time. I remember going here as a kid. Love their food and it's reasonable. Buffet on mondays is yummy too

All you can eat taco bar, car show and proceeds all go the the food pantry? Best $10 we ever spent!
